Our online store is going to get some revisions and will not be open until all are completed. If you know what you need, please email me and I will try to get it out to you right after the super bowl.
If you are a TN Handgun Permit holder you enjoy the right to carry your gun to many states that have reciprocity with TN. Basically you can count the entire southeastern United States as friendly to you. However each of these states will have variations of the law. These will include prohibited places. Before traveling it would be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the laws of each state.
Why should this concern you? In the following article a woman was arrested and faces felony charges for carrying in New York State. I’m not sure why she thought that would be a good idea, but she did it anyway. Check the following article out and be reminded. She will likely face the same penalty Plaxico Burress faced a few years ago for carrying a weapon. His was discovered when he accidentally shot himself. He received a felony conviction and mandatory jail sentence to go with it. BE CAREFUL!
I hope that this day finds all of our customers and friends doing well. Hopefully you got something you wanted under the tree. I can remember one of the best presents I ever received, my Daisy Red Rider bb gun. Could there be any thing better?
Today Christmas means more than ever to me as I am trying to bring home the importance of the Savior’s birth to my own children. Sure there will be toys, maybe even some nerf guns, but I hope they will get a foundation that will help them as they grow older so they may become Christ followers as well.
As you look at the Christmas lights this winter I hope you will enjoy the “Light” of Christmas. Merry Christmas!
I got this picture today and I agree. Chloe is our favorite customer. Thanks for the pic, and putting your kid in MCC gear at such a young age. It’s never too early to start them is it?
I had the opportunity to teach an NRA First Steps class Friday to two of my friends. When I woke up Friday morning I was a little concerned about my “rain or shine” policy because it was nasty weather. By the afternoon things had cleared up, and we were fortunate enough to have a wonderful day at the range.
One question that was asked was, “what type of gun should I get?” As you know there are several great options for someone looking for the all around gun. I’ve argued before that the Glock 19 may be my favorite Glock. You won’t go wrong with any of the S&W M&P line or the Springfield XD. When I mentioned one of the guns above, my friend said he didn’t know why, but he just didn’t like the gun. That reminded me that you must never believe the hype because the worst gun is the gun you didn’t like but you bought because someone talked you into it.
When you look to buy a gun there are some undeniably better guns than others. However, with the top makers you really can’t go wrong. Find one you will be happy with, trust, proud to own, and excited to shoot. You won’t be disappointed. Do not buy a gun because JeffJeff2@mcc told you to. Do not buy a gun because American Handgunner had it as a feature. Research your options and buy what you like.
By the way, I really put the Wild Things Tactical Soft Shell through the paces. It was raining, windy and about 40 degrees all day. Expensive stuff, but it works!
If you are familiar with the three types of misfires then you know what you should do. This gentleman was obviously unaware, and it almost cost him his noggin. Never, ever, ever, look down the business end of a firearm when any ammo is in the vicinity. This video shows what could happen.
Improvisation is important for us as shooters. Its all too easy to make excuses for our poor shooting, poor gear, poor sights. This guy used what he had available. Thanks to Steve for sending this to me.
Summer brings about its own issues for gun enthusiasts. We don’t like sweating while we shoot. Fogs glasses and makes ear muffs uncomfortable. I don’t like touching hot guns. I really don’t like sunburns.
Perhaps the hardest thing is that some CCW adjustments need to be made. For me the summer generally means a J-Frame. I have a hard time with a full size anything.
I would love to have the readers thoughts on the subject. Leave us a comment about how you beat the heat and still get to the range or carry when summer rolls around. The comment that strikes me the best (totally subjective because it is summer and I’m bored) wins a MCC hat and patch. They aren’t much but its something.
I did a recent interview for Guns.com on Law Enforcement Agency purchasing practices. Check it out here.
